Monitoring System / Contingency Measures
 

Service rendered with Safety, Speed and Reliability is our top priority. A monitoring system has been put in place to ensure that this is achieved.

 
  • The Region is divided into Strategic Zones, each headed by an Assistant Manager and Supervisor; both of whom can act as back-up agents whenever this need arises.

  • It is mandatory for all ERA BARU personnel to be equipped with handphones/trunk radios.

  • Every route is covered by a regular Ground Services Agent (GSA) who reports to the Supervisor / Asst Manager in his respective Zone.

  • As a further contingency measure, every GSA is trained to be familiar with all the various routes in his Strategic Zone.

  • Back-up vehicles are located at each Strategic Zone as another contingency measure.

     
    Collection / Delivery Procedures
     
  • A consignment note is issued for each consignment.

  • The GSA records all consignments into the day's master list.

  • All consignments are submitted to the Service Centre where they are checked and verified.

  • The consignments are sorted according to destinations.

  • At Era Baru, each customer's consignments are packed individually to prevent a 'mixed-up' situation.

  • Packing lists are filled uop and verified.

  • The consignments are sent to the various destinations.

  • Upon arrival, the delivery rub sheets are drawn up and consignments are sorted out according to the delivery zone / bank.

  • Delivery is made and signed acknowledgement is made by the recipient.

     

    A regular Ground Services Agent covers every route and Department.

    Every GSA is trained to be familiar with all the various routes in his Strategic Zone.

    Back-up vehicles and GSA are located at each Strategic Zone as another contingency measure.
